Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Percene Systems (“Percene”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it — including the rights granted under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Percene Systems is an early-stage venture applying quantum machine learning to data-centre thermal risk and molecular modelling. Percene is currently operated directly by its founders, Nicolas de Matteis and Jacinta May, ahead of formal company incorporation. For the purposes of data protection law, Percene acts as the “controller” of personal data collected through this site.

Open item: because Percene has not yet incorporated, it has not appointed a registered address or an Article 27 representative in the EU or UK. If you are an EU or UK visitor and this matters to you, please raise it via the contact details below — we will appoint a representative if and when that becomes a legal requirement for our scale of processing.

2. What we collect

  • Contact form submissions. Our “Partner with us” form is embedded from Tally (tally.so), a third-party form provider. If you submit it, Tally collects whatever you enter — typically your name, email address, organisation and message — on our behalf. We receive that submission from Tally in order to respond to you.
  • Standard technical logs. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data for every visit (e.g. IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages requested) to keep the site secure and operating correctly. We do not use this data to identify individuals.
  • No analytics or advertising trackers. This site does not currently run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any first-party tracking or marketing cookies.

3. Why we process it, and our legal basis

  • Responding to your enquiry — legal basis: your consent in submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in following up on business enquiries.
  • Keeping the site secure and working — legal basis: legitimate interest in operating and securing our service.

We do not sell personal data or use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party processors to run this site:

  • Tally (form hosting) — processes contact form submissions. See Tally’s privacy policy for how they handle data, including where it is stored.
  • Our web hosting / CDN provider — serves the site and generates the technical logs described above.

We do not otherwise share personal data with third parties, except where required by law.

5. International data transfers

Because we rely on third-party processors (see above), your data may be processed outside your home country, including outside the EEA or UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those processors themselves put in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) — see their respective privacy policies for details.

6. How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up — in practice, no longer than 24 months, unless we are legally required to keep it longer or need it to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Technical logs are retained only as long as our hosting provider's default retention period.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — for example the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are in the UK, or your national supervisory authority if you are in the EU.

8. Cookies

This site does not set first-party analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The embedded Tally contact form is a third-party iframe and may set its own cookies to function (for example, to prevent spam submissions) — see Tally’s own policy for details. If we add analytics in future, this policy and an accompanying cookie banner will be updated first.

9. Children

This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or our processing changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision.
